Sicherheitsupdate KB2493987 legt Sharepoint Services 3.0 und damit auch CompanyWeb lahm


Mal wieder so eine schöne Geschichte wie Updates alles durcheinander bringen können. Sharepoint scheint da gerade beliebt zu sein: https://newyear2006.wordpress.com/2011/09/09/sbs2011-backup-bricht-mit-fehler-2155348129-ab-und-was-hat-das-mit-sharepoint-updates-zu-tun/.

Hintergrund und Symptome
Im aktuellen Fall wurde auf einem Small Business Server 2003 das Sicherheitsupdate aus KB2493987 (“Security Update for Windows SharePoint Services 2007”, http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=27333) eingespielt und schwups wars vorbei. Für die Clients gab es die nette Meldung: “Cannot connect to the configuration database” oder “An unexpected error has occurred.

Lösung
Der Aufruf von

C:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\BIN\psconfig -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait –force

brachte dann die Lösung, dauerte zwar ewig am Ende war alles paletti. Übrigens ohne –force scheint es nicht zu klappen.

Also trifft das Problem ebenso SBS 2008.

    Danke, der Befehl hat mir auch geholfen! Unter Server 2008 lautet der Befehl übrigens:
    „c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\BIN\PSCONFIG.EXE“ -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait -force
